Tratto started as an idea… a place where the next generation of hospitality, in both the front and back of house, could build a clear platform from a rock solid foundation on what I hoped would be a modern take on the classic Italian Trattoria. One that lived on a corner in Phoenix, AZ… one that was inspired by past generations and future possibilities, the sum of the parts and importance of relationships. One between planet & farmer, farmer and chef, to staff and guest and beyond, in reverence and respect to season, sensibility and place…” - Chris Bianco

Walk-ins are welcome and encouraged, no reservations needed. We can’t wait for to experience Tratto.

Tratto originally opened at the Town & Country Shopping Center in 2016, next door to Pizzeria Bianco. In 2020, we moved into the old Roland’s Market Building a few miles away. The property was built in 1917 and operated as a second hand goods store until 1923, when it was converted into a grocery. Until 2008, it hosted a variety of grocers. The building’s story speaks to Arizona’s rich history with other cultures and the flavors they brought to our city, and encapsulates what we hope to offer to the city through Tratto.

By merging Italian dishes with influences from the Southwest, we hope to honor the building’s history of bringing other cultures to the desert. We aim to create an elevated dining experience that feels welcoming and uplifts the community around us. We do not require reservations for tables, we have plenty of space for everyone and look forward to you joining us!
